Client: Excel Academy Charter Schools is a network of tuition-free, public charter schools serving the Massachusetts communities of East Boston and Chelsea. It was founded to address the severe academic underperformance and low college matriculation rates of the student populations in these neighborhoods.

Role: Excel Academy has been a QPD client since 2003 where engagements have included master planning, budget and schedule management, leasing, site finding, negotiation and property acquisition, oversight of public process, team assembly, and oversight of design and construction. Excel’s growth has encompassed 3 sites in Boston serving 800 students in grades K-12.
